RSVP Senior Friendly Visiting Program

Fairfield RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) connects retired and senior volunteers with community service program(s) that provide ongoing meaningful purpose and benefits for the volunteer!

Are you a person looking for a meaningful way to perform community service in Fairfield, but have limited time to spend volunteering? Do you want to keep active in a way that truly makes a difference for a person in need? Do you like the idea of brightening the lives of our community senior citizens (age 60+)? As an RSVP Senior Friendly Visitor volunteer, you will have the opportunity to uplift and enrich the lives of community elders and/or disabled seniors by providing companionship and simple non-medical assistance. The minimum service level is one hour each week.

You receive a personal interview/orientation and placement, make new friends, receive supplemental insurance while volunteering, attend appreciation events and specialized training events, receive community recognition, receive the Fairfield Volunteer Center/RSVP email newsletter each month, and join a 40-year-old nationwide program of nearly 500,000 active RSVP volunteer members answering the call of their neighbors in need!
